Throughout 2022 and 2023 nonprofit leaders from Richmond, Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region came together to learn from one another. To challenge or validate thinking. To create solutions and inspire new ideas. And we're doing it again in 2024!! Join us for this intentionally diverse group of leaders coming together to create nonprofit magic.
*Alchemy is defined as the seemingly magical transformation of something of little perceived value into something of great value.
Are you low on time, but high on learning? Do you want to challenge your thinking? Do you seek the company of people who "just get it?" Are you: A seasoned OR new nonprofit professional? Do you support a nonprofit through Board service? If you answered YES, then YES! The Alchemy Series is right for you!!
Alchemy leaders meet on the THIRD Thursday of every month on Zoom with multiple special events and in person gatherings sprinkled throughout the year. All meetings will begin at Noon.
The 2024 schedule is as follows:
*Dates may be subject to change.
For 2024, three of meetings will be in person (over lunch) and the rest are on Zoom. The location of the in-person meetings will be announced prior to each meeting.

“Alchemy has been an enriching way to connect with peers I would have never normally been able to share with, see from the perspectives of a variety of nonprofit leaders, and absorb best practices on the regular. Best of all, I could feel the relief in the camaraderie that we are not alone in struggles and triumphs of the day to day and the strategic. I have and will continue to enthusiastically recommend Alchemy to any and all nonprofit leaders!"

“I joined Alchemy to create for myself a support network of other leaders. It’s isolating running a non-profit, especially when you are small with very little other administrative positions. I needed time with others who are making strategic decisions, facing similar concerns and difficulties, and figuring out creative solutions. Sometimes it was also just comforting to hear someone else was struggling right alongside me! I value the time with other leaders and look forward to another year of opportunities for connection.”
Rebecca Ricardo, Executive Director, C2Adopt
“The Alchemy community has been a great way for me to make connections in the nonprofit community. Being new to nonprofits Alchemy has given me a great group of knowledgeable peers that would have taken me years to meet on my own. There are so many questions that come up when running a small nonprofit organization and it’s wonderful to have this group and Sue Kindred in particular to help navigate this new adventure.”
